I thought the weeks were passing very quickly during the last few weeks of frantic packing. Now they are passing even more quickly during the first six weeks of unpacking.
At least I get to take a longer break in the middle of each week when I share five virtual quilts instead of just one like every other day.
This series is from one of the most interesting project files I have started. The designs would also be some of the most challenging pieced designs I share with some very sharp angles to construct. Other than that they are just straight piecing … until you have to set in some of the corners!
I love the way the bright yellow works in some designs, but also love the more relaxing combination without the yellow … and I think the one above is my favourite of those I have shared today.
But then, I also rather like the one above … and the one below!
More Log Cabin designs mid week, next week. I think I will continue my little retreat from reality by having another coffee.
Such neat designs – I imagine the engineers I work with would like them!

Jen,
It would be interesting to know what they would make from a quilt design, but I do know that many people in similar work often stop and look closely at quilts in exhibitions.

Wow these are really wonderful. It is very hard to choose between the monochromatic or the ones with the yellow added in!

Cindy,
I always have that problem in this whole project file, and often save tow versions of the same design … one monochromatic, then add a splash of yellow. I usually love them both!
