Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Red and White Log Jam 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
A few all dark, or all red, blocks, the rest are standard Log Cabin blocks, and are all made using the standard pieced Log Cabin construction methods. The second design has some all light, or white, Log Cabin blocks, and … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 66, 67, 68, 69, 70
Interesting … how many stars are there mixed up there? Same design, different colouring, and the dark star has lost a lot of impact! I can spend half an hour changing blocks within this layout, and like them all enough … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 61, 62, 63, 64, 65
Middle of yet another week so time for a collection of Log Cabin designs, so if possible, retreat from whatever the world is handing you for a few minutes. I like the first design, but the colours in the second … Continue reading
Cabin Fever 106, 107, 108, 109, 110
I should have visited this project file about a month ago! Let’s hope I don’t need to update it too often! This project has an almost unlimited supply of Log Cabin blocks which have only one thing in common … … Continue reading
Applique Logs 73, 74, 75, 76
Time for a short break to celebrate the middle of the week. I would like the one above even without the applique. Most of the appliques in this series are placed on individual blocks, but sometimes I have let the … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 46, 47, 48, 49, 50
I am not sure that a log cabin with so many sharp corners would be easy to furnish, but a Log Cabin quilt would be warm and cosy. The one above has some wonderful shapes to show off some interesting … Continue reading
Hexie Logs 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Once I learned to throw away designs using just one block a whole new world opened up. Adding some applique to blocks normally pieced adds even more possibilities. Love the first two designs. In a perfect world I would spend … Continue reading
Logs on Point 56, 57, 58, 59, 60
Log Cabin blocks look great when set on point. I would make the setting triangle blocks around the edge by using a bigger square in the centre of the blocks, then cut them in halves. To eliminate the corner joins … Continue reading
Red and White Logs 96, 97, 98, 99, 100
In just one week Christmas will be over, but today you can take a few minutes to examine five Log Cabin Quilt designs. Small changes, and I like the new version. Another variation, but I like the second one better, … Continue reading
Less Logs in the Cabin 66, 67 68, 69, 70
Love the first design for this week’s mid week retreat … take a short break to enjoy this one, and the rest! Love the second too! Another one … perhaps not quite as good as the first two. Love the … Continue reading
