Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Log Cabin Baby Blocks 76, 77, 78, 79, 80
I like the first design of this week’s Log Cabin retreat! Not too sure about that dark background colour, but love the windmill in the centre. Interesting. Prefer the one above this one … too much dark in the centre. … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 71, 72, 73, 74, 75
Interesting. The blocks in this project file were drafted as very ordinary Log Cabin blocks, and Electric Quilt distorts them to fit the layout. In Electric Quilt any square block can be placed in any quilt layout, including hexagons, and … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 66, 67, 68, 69, 70
Interesting … how many stars are there mixed up there? Same design, different colouring, and the dark star has lost a lot of impact! I can spend half an hour changing blocks within this layout, and like them all enough … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 61, 62, 63, 64, 65
Middle of yet another week so time for a collection of Log Cabin designs, so if possible, retreat from whatever the world is handing you for a few minutes. I like the first design, but the colours in the second … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 56, 57, 58, 59, 60
The Log Cabin designs this week are good candidates for foundation piecing, though I don’t think you would need a foundation for the solid blocks around the edge of the first one. The second one has a few set in … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 51, 52, 53, 54, 55
Love it! Today’s designs are all very similar, with the colour placement being the most noticeable changes. Middle one is the design which is rather different to the other four. Love the one above too … the centre could be … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 46, 47, 48, 49, 50
I am not sure that a log cabin with so many sharp corners would be easy to furnish, but a Log Cabin quilt would be warm and cosy. The one above has some wonderful shapes to show off some interesting … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 36, 37, 38, 39, 40
I am trying to decide if I like the plain yellow pieces, or should it be some distorted Log Cabin blocks in yellow fabrics? Love the one above, but can see some things I want to change … I will … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 31, 32, 33, 34, 35
I thought the weeks were passing very quickly during the last few weeks of frantic packing. Now they are passing even more quickly during the first six weeks of unpacking. At least I get to take a longer break in … Continue reading
Log Cabin Baby Blocks 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
Thank goodness it is Wednesday, middle of the week, so I can retreat … after the last couple of weeks I need to retreat from food, family and friends for some quiet times. (It was fun while it lasted though!) … Continue reading
