Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Clamshells 13, 14
A very different twist to the traditional clamshell. I like the addition of String of Beads, another oldy but goody! I find it is always interesting to try something different with old designs although the chances of me making a … Continue reading
Clamshells 11, 12
I have sometimes thought I would make something using Clamshells, but thinking is a long way from actually starting. However, I have played with the shape occasionally, just to see if I could come up with something I just had … Continue reading
Clamshells 9, 10
Playing with borders based on the traditional Clamshell designs. I love the contrast between the thick and thin borders.
Clamshell 7, 8
It is quite some time since I looked at his project file, and the first thing that struck me when I opened it this morning was that it is a mixture of traditional Clamshells and String of Beads. Admittedly the … Continue reading
Clamshell 4, 5, 6
The first design is for a rather small quilt, or a large quilt with large clamshells. I like the second one. The colouring is a bit out of whack in the second clamshell border, but I love the design.
Clamshell 3
Not quite the traditional style of Clamshell designs, but some interesting borders! Includes some lines which would make great quilting designs.
Clamshells
This is the only other design in the Clamshells project folder … big clamshells … could perhaps be a way to showcase some favourite fabrics. The main problem with this project file is that the designs were drawn as applique … Continue reading
Clamshell Borders 1, 2, 3 and 4
Found an old project file where I was trying to use Clamshells for a border … the real project has long been finished with borders which do not include any clamshells but the virtual project was still there just in … Continue reading
