This isn’t really a new series.
The Annie Clover series was growing like topsy so I split it into smaller project files, each concentrating on particular features which kept catching my attention.
These two designs show clearly the block which creates the illusion of curves, and I am trying to limit this project file and series to designs which feature that illusion. Some designs have already made an appearance as virtual quilts in the original Annie Clover series, but were lost in the volume of designs … especially as I was starting to add quilting designs.
Love that first design, Judy!

Laura,
Thank you. It was ones like this which caused the off shoot series.

Love the first design as well. I think those centre blocks just set it off nice.

Well Judy, the consensus is unanimous. I agree that the first design is great. I love that you can get a curved effect with straight stitching!

Cindy,
I can remember being fascinated when I first saw Storm at Sea quilts … and I still love finding straight pieced curves!
