Baltimore to Bourke 1

I have been playing with the idea of designing a Baltimore style quilt but with an Australian theme.

This is the first design to come together, and though all the blocks have been designed in Australia, there are no kangaroos or gum trees. I will work on that!

I would like to keep the balance the weight, colour and contrast between blocks on opposite sides of the quilt, but vary the content of the blocks… that will be tricky.

Like the slighty darker background in the borders.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.
