Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Hearts Growing 1, 2
Until yesterday I had just three variations of the block in the centre of each side of the design above, though without the small circle in the centre of the block. I don’t have a name for the block collection, … Continue reading
Aunt Flo’s Quilt 10
Love open spaces in quilt designs so there is somewhere for the quilting to star. I can see a lot of possible quilting designs hiding in both the pieced and applique blocks in this series.

Aunt Flo’s Quilt 9
Love it … but now think there must be a better way to quilt the border. The best part of virtual quilting is that you don’t have to unpick what you are not happy with. I have spent a lot … Continue reading

Beaded Border Strings 1 and 2
I have been digging around through old project files, deleting some, playing with some, and deciding that there are some which I am willing to share. Instead of making quilts with the same block repeated, why not make a medallion quilt … Continue reading

White on Colour 2
Love it. Sometime in the distant future I think there may be an all light applique quilt. First a few UFOs to clear out, and four family members to cover with a quilt. Maybe one of them will get something … Continue reading
Toys 4 Christmas 42, 43 and 44
Looking back through all the toys I realized that I have featured mainly boy toys … time to introduce more dolls for the boys to play with while the girls play with the train set and cars. Many of the … Continue reading

Lovely!
French Onion Practice 2
A design I put together on the way to making a real quilt. The design for the real quilt became a pattern, initially available as a paper pattern, now in PDF form.
Fiddlebobs 4 and 5
The world is a much prettier place today … my first coffee is starting to take effect, and all is right with the world. Two pretty virtual quilts to celebrate! By the way, these blocks started after a failed attempt … Continue reading
After Pompeii 9 and 10
The blocks have been tipped … but the border blocks are still straight … love how it comes together in the design above! The second one looks lacy. If you haven’t already had a look, check out yesterday’s virtual … Continue reading
