Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Logs on the Pile 91, 92, 93, 94, 95
This project file has been in hiding for a few years, but there are still some interesting designs waiting to get their moment in the spotlight. The one above is interesting. Love the second design. Spaces in the one above … Continue reading
Mt Mac Blocks 5, 6
Single bed design which can become a double by adding five of the top row blocks to each side. Another one like the first one, but I like the centre of this one more, and use the outer blocks of … Continue reading

Baker’s Dozen 57, 58
Baker’s Dozen is one of my favourite project files. I was delighted with the contrast in the fabrics when I started playing, and still love the contrast. I love the green and gold colours but finding the right background took … Continue reading
Autumn Daze Quilting 33, 34
Looks like a rogue block found its way into the first design … perhaps I should have used one of them in each side. A bit more variety in the blocks for the second design.
Logs or Leaves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Not too sure the best way to put the blocks together, but my first try would be paper piecing, perhaps some very intricate cutting and putting the logs together before starting building the blocks. Adding redrafted Curved Log Cabin blocks … Continue reading
Annie Clover and Pieces 45, 46
Rather a nice design for a single bed, or maybe for a tablecloth, or perhaps a mat in a large hallway. Second design for today looks like a lovely warm quilt for a queen size bed.
Logs in the Garden 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Mixing pieced with applique is interesting … though I don’t think I will ever try doing it, unless I make a really boring Log Cabin quilt top, and add some applique to brighten it up. I like the design above … Continue reading
Burgoyne Tangled with Irish 1, 2
This project file is Burgoyne Surrounded by Irish recoloured. Much prettier than the original! The mixture of shapes is still interesting, and much more suitable for the lady of the house.
Tangled Irish Chain Blues 37, 38
The centre of the design above is interesting. It is 9P blocks surrounded by blocks with contrast corners, but the corner squares are part of the joining blocks. The second design is a bit of a tangle, but interesting. PS … Continue reading
An Irish Gardener’s Double Chain 7, 8
Colour are not wonderfully inspiring, though the florals are nice, but the idea is interesting. Might have to try all green for the pieced parts of the designs.
