Love varying the placement of colours in any quilt blocks, but the results in Log Cabin style pieced hexagons is very effective.
I also always like adding plain blocks amongst pieced blocks, and adding some applique or quilting motifs is a bonus.

I am not a huge fan of Log Cabin designs, but like playing with them and changing the placement of the colours. One of the first quilt books I bought was Judy Martins first Log Cabin book, and am still following her via her blog, and new books through EQ.
