Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

TNT Logs 66, 67, 68, 69, 70
Sixty four identical blocks can be twisted and turned every which way to create a multitude of designs. The second design has a few blocks twisted, but all of them have the light and dark sides opposite … … but … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilted 61, 62, 63, 64, 65
I think I would like the backs of these designs as much, if not more, than the front. Another option would be to make all the blocks in very pale washed out colours, not just the light areas. I love … Continue reading
Logs on the Road 56, 57, 58, 59, 60
There are just three blocks used in the designs in this project file. Traditional Log Cabin construction is used for all and one of the three is the traditional colouring. The other two use either all light or all dark … Continue reading
Logs at Lochiel 41, 42, 43, 44, 45
Interesting design. Same layout, same fabrics but different blocks. Log Cabin quilts in old favourite layouts with good use of colour and contrast always catch my eye, but with the same care in choosing fabrics and mixing up the blocks … Continue reading
Beetaloo Logs 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Hot cross buns are now in the shops, so I thought I would add a touch of green as a reminder that St Patrick’s Day comes before Easter on the calendar. It is also a reminder that the weeds are … Continue reading
Christmas Logs 36, 37, 38, 39, 40
Interesting design! Every time I look at this project file I think of coaters for the table rather than quilts for the bed! More blocks now, and it looks more like a quilt. Another interesting design, and my favourite. The … Continue reading
Less Logs for Christmas 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
A very interesting design for any time of the year, in any colours too. A nice neat and tidy design. Same design, with a little bit of extra colour. With only three logs on each side of these designs they … Continue reading
Logs on Point 76, 77, 78, 79. 80
Too much dark, though if it was on a bed a lot of the dark would be overhang or scrunched up at the bottom corners. Interesting. My first thought when I opened up this design, which has been locked away … Continue reading
TNT Logs + 101, 102, 103, 104, 105
I rather like the first design, though I think I would like it better on the floor than on a bed. Very interesting. What if I change the light fabrics to dark and vice versa, and change a few blocks. … Continue reading
Log Cabin + Dark 31, 32, 33, 34, 35
The + dark is a reference some of the Log Cabin blocks pieced from all dark fabrics, instead of the traditional light and dark combination. Can you spot the difference between the first two designs? I had to look twice … Continue reading
