Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Middle of the week already! Time to share Log Cabin quilt designs, and this week they are hexagon shaped blocks, Love the first design. Love the second design, but can see some changes I want to try sometime. The third … Continue reading

I love every design in this project file. The applique I have added could be replaced with fussy cut prints. Or machine or hand embroidery. You could also leave the applique and embroidery out altogether and just quilt the spaces … Continue reading

Middle of the week already, but I love all five of today’s designs, so it is not all bad. My first love of patchwork is applique, and though I love playing with Log Cabin designs, I am not all that … Continue reading

Instead of starting with a square in the centre, start with a hexagon, then add some applique here and there … and look what can happen! And some of the blocks have more than the usual strips in the lightest … Continue reading
Hexie Logs 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Once I learned to throw away designs using just one block a whole new world opened up. Adding some applique to blocks normally pieced adds even more possibilities. Love the first two designs. In a perfect world I would spend … Continue reading

Log Cabin blocks don’t have to be square. I started this project file in 2015, and it didn’t get very far at all before I put it away and forgot about it. I stopped with the two designs above, then … Continue reading
