Interesting! Courthouse steps, straight and curved, and sometimes the steps only go one way! (That might confuse the crook who is guilty as charged and tries to escape.)

Sometimes I think it is just as well the cornerstones are straight in one direction so they can keep the curved ones in some sort of control!
