Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Log Cabin Quilting 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
It always amazes me just how some rather common block designs can be twisted and turned to create some very interesting quilt designs. The first design uses Courthouse Steps. Just four blocks recoloured makes a more interesting overall design. Change … Continue reading
Log Cabin Mixed 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Interesting! This project has variations of all the familiar Log Cabin, Chimneys and Cornerstones, Courthouse Steps and Curved Log Cabins. Can you pick them all in todays designs? I wonder how many different combinations are possible with a few colour … Continue reading
Less Logs for Christmas 11, 12, 13 14, 15
Interesting shape for a bauble on a tree! Not just any tree … it is the first of December, so Christmas will be here shortly, but it is the middle of the week, so time for a short retreat from … Continue reading
Curved Cornerstones 56, 57, 58, 59, 60
Interesting! Courthouse steps, straight and curved, and sometimes the steps only go one way! (That might confuse the crook who is guilty as charged and tries to escape.) I like the second one. Another interesting one. Every week I am … Continue reading
Curved Cornerstones + 101, 102 103, 104, 105
I like the first design for today … … and the second … … you guessed right if you guessed that I like the third! When I opened this project there were no designs in there that I haven’t already … Continue reading
Less Logs for Christmas 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Love the first design of the day. Also love the second! I don’t think I will be able to select a favourite from todays selection of designs. I have to admit to never making a Log Cabin quilt, but have … Continue reading
Logs on Point + 96, 97, 98, 99, 100
Interesting start to this weeks five minute Log Cabin Retreat. Change four blocks and the design changes, and I like the change. Big changes for the next design … … change four blocks and I like it more. It never … Continue reading
City Courthouse 96, 97, 98, 99, 100
Nice one. This is the final installment from the City Courthouse project file, but I suspect that these blocks may appear in a new colourway sometime in the future. Wow! When you can get results like the one above by … Continue reading
Log Court 96, 97, 98, 99, 100
Middle of another week, which means time to take a little time out to look at some Log Cabin variation quilt designs. I like the first one of today’s selelction. More traditional arrangement of fabrics in the second one, otherwise … Continue reading
Logs on the Pile 66, 67, 68, 69, 70
Middle of the week, and a collection of Log Cabin quilt designs to look at during a short break from the rest of the world. I like the first one, not so keen on the second, but thought it was … Continue reading
