Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Red and White Log Jam 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Three different colorings of the basic Log Cabin block used in this project file, the half and half light and dark block, plus all light and all dark. The first design has 16 all light, four all dark, the rest … Continue reading
TNT Logs 66, 67, 68, 69, 70
Sixty four identical blocks can be twisted and turned every which way to create a multitude of designs. The second design has a few blocks twisted, but all of them have the light and dark sides opposite … … but … Continue reading
Logs on Point 76, 77, 78, 79. 80
Too much dark, though if it was on a bed a lot of the dark would be overhang or scrunched up at the bottom corners. Interesting. My first thought when I opened up this design, which has been locked away … Continue reading
Log Cabin + Dark 31, 32, 33, 34, 35
The + dark is a reference some of the Log Cabin blocks pieced from all dark fabrics, instead of the traditional light and dark combination. Can you spot the difference between the first two designs? I had to look twice … Continue reading
Log Cabin Mix 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
Not a bit mix up in the first design. More mixed up in the second, which I like because it is less boring to make a mixture of blocks rather than 64 identical blocks. Looks like a willy-willy (or whirlwind) … Continue reading
Log Heap 56, 57, 58, 59, 60
I like it! Colours are not great, but the contrast is fine. Reminds me of the things they put up and call wind farms. My favourite for today is the one above. Don’t know why I saved the design above, … Continue reading
Red and White Log Jam 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
A few all dark, or all red, blocks, the rest are standard Log Cabin blocks, and are all made using the standard pieced Log Cabin construction methods. The second design has some all light, or white, Log Cabin blocks, and … Continue reading
Log Cabin Blues 41, 42, 43, 44, 45
Interesting. More interesting. Very, very interesting. I like the change of colours too. The centre looks like a white spider going around in circles! Back to the softer colours, which when I first thought of it it seemed prettier, but … Continue reading
Beetaloo Logs 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
Log Cabin Mid week Retreat is back on schedule this week! The project file I am using this week has designs which are pretty basic, in that they all use 144 identical Log Cabin blocks, with some of the blocks … Continue reading
Cornerstones + 76, 77, 78, 79, 80
I cannot remember if I was going to have a square on point in the centre, or four V shapes, but decided to keep it at the halfway point. In my mind’s eye the square looks a little bit wider … Continue reading
