Lovin’ Spoonful 1, 2 and 3

Lovin' Spoonful 1

I couldn’t resist playing with a new collection of blocks I added to my Electric Quilt library yesterday, so once I had them sorted, I played.

Now can’t wait to share the first couple.

Lovin' Spoonful 2

I think I prefer the first one, and would add some quilted straight lines parallel to the sides as a filler, using a matching thread, with a contrast thread for the more ornate design areas.

Lovin' Spoonful 3

This one has the quilting design over the applique blocks, and once again the filler would be in a matching thread, and be something indistinct, or maybe some added motifs from the design collection. That last thought means I should spend some more time designing some filler motifs!

Wonder how many weekends I can fit into a week?

About Virtual Quilter

    • Laura,

      I think I am too!

The biggest surprise is the colours … I used some from the default fabrics, but went virtual shopping for the background one. Took about five minutes. Probably coud improve the choice, but wouldn’t want to change it much!

    • Glynis,

There are lots of possibilities with the individual block designs, and I am very pleasantly surprised at the first few quilt designs I have done. It is like getting a new toy!

  3. LOL If you figure out a way to get more weekends in a week let us know because then we would have more time for quilting as well as enjoying your designs. I like the first and the last one.
