Autumn Daze 47

Autumn days have arrived to the extent that the ugg boots have come out of storage, at least for the early mornings.

I will be spending my waking days over the weekend sharing some words of wisdom, or maybe just words, about Electric Quilt with some friends … interrupted by coffee breaks, meals and, I suspect, a few stories which will heavily censored if shared elsewhere at all! It may be a bit quiet here, but won’t be there!

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

The additions you’ve made to this basic pattern are lovely! I really like the X border, and the dual colors are just the right touch. I really like the blocked outer border, as well. Makes me wonder how others would quilt it!

    • Cindy,

This is my favourite series of designs … I love the mix of fabrics, the blocks work well together … one thing lacking in this series is room for extensive quilting. I would restrict most of the quilting to outlining the block designs, with some rather boring fillers. When the patchwork and applique work so well I would just let it shine.
