EQ Dozen TableRunners 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8

EQ Dozen Tablerunners 1

A short series … with a lesson … chose three blocks, make two each of two of them one of the other one in the same fabrics with the same background.

Arrange them with the single block in the centre and the others at each side.

Or make three of one block design, two of another.

That is all there is to designing a table runner.

Of course, there are other ways to do it, but if you can make a variety of blocks you can make heaps of different table runners.

If you have never tried designing they are a good place to start.

I am retiring this short series from today, but hopefully you will try designing … and before you know it you will be designing quilts.

You don’t need Electric Quilt, but playing with designs in EQ is a great way to spend a few hours and a great way to learn about design elements such as contrast, shapes and lines.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.
