Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Sewing Machine Day
Today is listed as Sewing Machine Day, but no one seems to know why this particular day was chosen. I have a day out once a year to get my machine serviced about two hours away, and I refer to … Continue reading

Electric Quilt in Practice
When I bought my first computer the supplier delivered it, unpacked it all, set everything up, plugged everything in, showed me how to click on buttons then left me with the words, ‘ Unless you actually drop it the computer … Continue reading
Long Lily Table Runner
I have to get the spacing tidied up a bit. I think the design is rather simple and elegant though.
Fences and Potted Tulips
I have a collection of fences to use as borders, and I have a lot of garden features, some houses which will come together one day in a whole series of quilts. Instead of designing quilts I just keep adding … Continue reading
Queensland Blue Table Runner
If I can put strawberries an a quilt, table runner and table topper, why not some pumpkins?
Tulip Table Runner
I have lousy luck with tulips in the garden. Let’s face it, Australia is far too hot for tulips. However, I can grow tulip blocks in Electric Quilt whenever I want, and this table runner uses just one of the … Continue reading
Best China Table Topper
I have been playing with the Best China again. I set out to design a table runner, but that didn’t work as well as I had liked, so I changed the setting and did some re-drawing and it became a table … Continue reading
What a Difference a Day Makes
In this case, just a few hours! The cat has been shooed away, the violets have been divided and replanted. From here this design will be going into the possible pattern folder!
