Experimenting with colour combinations so that the quilting lines show up nicely … purple lines on yellow works …
… but I like purple on purple better.

Exactly! But in real quilts the quilting will still show up reasonably well using a matching thread … the shadows of teh ditches come into play, but that doesn’t work with virtual quilts!
