Irish 9P 10

I have changed the colouring of the basic Nine Patch to get a dark square in the midle of the otherwise plain square. There are many different ways that light and dark fabrics can be used in the Nine Patch block to give it a different look, and that is something I am going to use lots of times in this series.

The thing to remember with these designs to to choose fabrics with high contrast for the effect of light and dark so they work well. Prints are good, but not if they are too busy with too many colours. Look for more muted prints, especially for the lights.
