What if I selelct a few basic blocks from the Electric Quilt block library, and use them on point, sometimes with sashing, sometimes without, sometimes using plain filler blocks, ………….. basically mixing them up like I have been doing in all the series so far.
Oh, and this time I have added a couple of borders, also from the EQ library. None of the blocks have been altered in any way apart from colour.
The blocks were chosen because they were basic and generally fairly well known amongst quilters, the borders were chosen because they are interesting and not Flying Geese. (I like Flying Geese, but it has to be one of the most overused border designs out there!) I have also used the border blocks in the centre of the designs whenever I felt the urge.
I have to admit that this series isn’t going very far as far as numbers of layouts I have saved over the last couple of days. I have deleted far more than I have kept. However, those I have saved I rather like. I think there are some interesting layouts amongst them, and I have enough designs in the folder to show a couple each month for the next year.
I just linked to this quilt on our Electric Quilt Facebook page. Love your look….
