Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

I don’t usually like blues, but I like this lot of designs … and they are all pale blue with white. It must have something to do with the applique, as I love applique. For some reason even the flowers … Continue reading
Aussie Floral Inspiration 5, 6
Most of the flora which inspired these designs does not grow with fresh green leaves and with pretty coloured flowers. Our most obvious flora comes in bright reds, yellows and oranges, though hidden away in the bush there are some … Continue reading
Penny’s Patch Play 19, 20
Far from ordinary, in both arrangement of blocks, and the colour scheme. Looks warm and cozy. I have to choose the first one as my favourite because I like the border more than in the second one. I do like … Continue reading
Elevenses OP 25, 26
Pretty … and interesting, or simply pretty interesting. Not so much pink in the second one, which means not quite so pretty, but more interesting.

This project file uses blocks from the Electric Quilt Library, though they may have been twisted, turned and otherwise modified by yours truly. This project file was started before I almost abandoned using sashing, though I still use narrow sashing.

9 Patch ‘n’ Apps 7×7 25, 26
Nice, but pretty busy. Love. love, love the second design! Love how the darker background fabric becomes the feature fabric in the outer row of blocks, and the way the central blocks are linked discretely by the two lighter fabrics.
Patricia’s Patches OP 4, 5, 6
Regular visitors have probably noticed that I have a preference for rather old fashioned style quilt designs … and the one above is one of them. Too many pieces, not enough applique in the second one, but I do like … Continue reading

Colours are not impressive, but I love the design. Busy, busy … but I like it.
Aunt Flo’s Quilt 29, 30
Nice, especially the quilting motifs. Looks like an antique quilt which has been washed many, many times. I think I should have added better quilting motifs!
Pieced Patched and Pretty Quilted 13, 14
Pretty! Also pretty! Love the combination of the applique and pieced blocks and the quilting motifs.
