Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

On the whole I think I like straight sets over on point most of the time, but I still love playing with on point settings. It is worth it when you find designs like the one above!

This project file uses the Serendipity tool in Electric Quilt. Playing with this tool can be very addictive, but a lot of fun, with some very interesting results. The block I started with for this series of designs is the … Continue reading

Pretty and dainty. Like it!
EQ Mexican Rose Quilt 21, 22
Very neat … I like it. By the way, the EQ prefix in the title indicates that this project file started with a block from the Electric Quilt Block Library. Modifying blocks from the library is a great way to … Continue reading
Baker’s Dozen 31, 32
I like it! It is not very often I use a lighter fabric in the border than the dominant fabric of the blocks in the centre.

I like it! I like this one more!
Watchin’ Grass Grow 5, 6
I have been spending many hours in my real garden, and there are some weeds growing like crazy, but not many anymore! Meanwhile the virtual weeds look as though they have been growing like crazy, getting a little bit overgrown. … Continue reading

Love the first design. The star at the centre of the first design becomes the quilting motif for an almost whole cloth design.

Three blocks combined, all constructed exactly the same way, with all dark, all light and half light, half dark. The colours I have used are not particularly attractive but I was concentrating on finding how many ways I could mix … Continue reading
