I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Interesting. I like to leave space around applique blocks. This design has just eight applique blocks which leaves room for quilting to be showcased. I would perhaps use a more subdued thread colour in a real quilt, and the blank … Continue reading
This project file is based on just one block which is included in the Electric Quilt block library, but with a lot of modifications of the original layout. The shapes have been bent, twisted every which way, or they have … Continue reading
I think I have started with the best one today. In fact, I have them in order of my preference. When I started blogging a quilt design every day I would take designs from wherever in the project file I … Continue reading
I want to change fabrics in this project file, but not until I have my block library sorted. However it is hard not to be distracted when I am playing in Electric Quilt, but I must be strong or the … Continue reading
I love this series, and I love the spoon which started it. Every design in this series reminds me of antiques every time I open the Electric Quilt project file. I keep trying to find a much brighter colour scheme, … Continue reading
I like it.
I like it. I would not enjoy making all those tiny blocks, but would be happy to live with the results. I wonder why I changed the quilting design for one block in the outer row!
There’s an idea! Don’t piece a Log Cabin quilt … just quilt it! Something to think about though … what colours would you use on the quilt top if you did piece it? Something to consider is doubling up Log … Continue reading
The EQ Dozen series of project files all began life in EQ5, and continue to grow in EQ8. Who would have thought that just twelve blocks would create so many designs, and I have only just started sharing the quilted … Continue reading
Sometimes I am rather impressed with a design … and this is one of those times. I love how the quilting design echos and links to the matching applique blocks.
