Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

String of Beads Roundabout 31, 32
Interesting. I like it, but would have to find just the right quilting to use in the centre. My first thought is Double Wedding String of Bead outlines … with something in the centre. That centre is what I was … Continue reading

Double Wedding String of Beads 19, 20
String of Beads was popular nearly one hundred years ago, and that was many years before fusible webbing and cutting machines were available. I have made several items using that one simple shape before I bought a cutting machine, but … Continue reading
Tangled String of Beads 35, 36
I love the first design. Enough beads to be interesting, but with some open spaces for some equally interesting quilting. I love the second one too … find a heap of colorful but close matching fabrics, and start cutting, and … Continue reading
Gran’s New Beads 13, 14
Nice. This project file features beads of many colours, shapes and sizes, unlike the traditional String of Beads design. Love the second one … a very interesting arrangement.
Quilting Thread and Beads 23, 24
Love the first design for today. The second one is interesting … and I rather like it!
Beaded Fans 17
I like it! Pretty and scrappy, or pretty scrappy. In the second one I know what I was trying to do by adding the contrast fan fabric, but I know I chose the wrong fabric.
Christmas Beading 21, 22
Needs some quilting lines added, but being Christmas Eve there are a few other things to fill in my day … maybe by next Christmas! I am always amazed how many ways one small shape can be repeated to create … Continue reading

Tangled String of Beads 33, 34
Hmm! The centre of the first designs sort of looks like a game of Noughts and Crosses. I love it. Second design is much simpler, and I love it … no favourite for today.
Gran’s New Beads 7, 8
Love the design above, and particularly love the block without the beaded frame. In the second design I love the quilted beaded circle surrounding that same block design.

Beaded Borders 9, 10
I love playing with virtual beads … and love the results. Love the simplicity of the straight lines of beads, and also the double swag border.
