Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Love the first design … in particular, the ‘curves’ around the light coloured background, created with lots of straight lines. Not too sure about the centre star … …. but after making a slight change, I really like the way … Continue reading

Choose one block, add/subtract a few lines, add fabric samples, and see what you get. Note, the second design does use the same block as the first.

I love the first design for today. The blocks shine, and so does the quilting. Love the second one too, for the same reasons I love the first one. The last design is interesting, but one of the first two … Continue reading

The focus of Virtual Challenges this month, and next, is applique, but I thought that this would be a gentle reminder that pieced blocks can be modified too. In this series the quilting lines give an indication of where the … Continue reading
Sealink Starr OP 4
Blocks from the day before yesterday set on point for another very interesting collection of designs. I must play with some other blocks using this series as inspiration. The hardest part will be selecting some blocks.

One block, shown almost in full in the centre, but used mostly with bits missing. The quilting lines are the seam lines of the basic pieced block. I love it. ……………………………. For applique lovers, especially Aussie ones … The Pardalot’s … Continue reading
