Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

White Quilting 15, 16
I love pretty much every design in this project though the background colour is dull. However, that was the colour which worked best to show the virtual quilting, and it would probably look good in many modern bedrooms. Today’s favourite … Continue reading

Interesting design. I like the second one, but the applique border is too wide. I like this one … always like wholecloth quilts, though i would choose a nicer background fabric. I often use uninteresting, dull or plain boring fabrics … Continue reading

White Quilting 11
I love this, despite the background fabric not being very inspiring. I was looking for something to make the quilting show clearly as a virtual quilt rather than a real quilt.

White Quilting 10
Quilters don’t always cut up big pieces of fabric and join them back together. Sometimes we use just two very big pieces of fabric and go straight to the quilting. (If fact, the cutting up and joining back together part … Continue reading

The first time I created a white out on a quilt by somehow deleting all colour from the applique blocks, it was the biggest mistake I had made for quite a while, but I loved the result. This is one … Continue reading

Quilting block by block … with a boring filler worked in thread the same colour as the background.

A little bit of applique leaves lots of space for quilting. I would add a little bit of boring background filler in a thread to match the background fabric. I wonder if using a heavy perle thread for the quilting feature … Continue reading

Tricky applique, simple quilting. Please note that the simple quilting would not go over the applique in any real quilt of mine … I would outline each applique shape in this design, and stop those simple lines at the outline.
White Quilting 2
White quilting, over or around white appliques. Will be trying different background colours in this project file, but keeping the white features. Could be interesting.
