Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Quentin’s Quilting 11, 12
Love the design despite the colouring (I don’t like blues) but I can also see this design with the blocks in the centre diamond with added colour pieces. Love the second design as well. Smaller, but with some added contrast … Continue reading

Virtual Wholecloth Quilt 6, 7, 8
I use a lot of background quilting on applique and pieced blocks to fill in spaces around the design, but I also often use plain background for some blocks, and those are quilted with the lines of applique designs. The … Continue reading
White Quilting 15, 16
I love pretty much every design in this project though the background colour is dull. However, that was the colour which worked best to show the virtual quilting, and it would probably look good in many modern bedrooms. Today’s favourite … Continue reading
Virtual Wholecloth 7, 8
I love it. However, regular light coloured quilting thread would get lost in the dark shadows of a dark fabric … I would use a crochet cotton, and maybe try longer stitches on top, separated by short stitches on the … Continue reading

Quentin’s Quilting 9, 10
I love it … although it is a bit blue. I do like the quilting design as it is clean and simple, and would be suitable to use with most of our modern waddings which are much less likely to … Continue reading

I love it! Love the second too, and love the both thread colours as well as the quilting designs.
White Quilting 12, 13, 14
Interesting design. I like the second one, but the applique border is too wide. I like this one … always like wholecloth quilts, though i would choose a nicer background fabric. I often use uninteresting, dull or plain boring fabrics … Continue reading

Black and Gold Petals 8, 9, 10
A little bit of applique plus a LOT of quilting. I seem to have forgotten to add any applique at all, but I love wholecloth quilts! I like the last, but my favourite for the day is the wholecloth design.

Quilting Wholecloth 6×6 1B, 1C
Experimenting with colour combinations so that the quilting lines show up nicely … purple lines on yellow works … … but I like purple on purple better. Follow this link to see the original colouring.
White Quilting 11
I love this, despite the background fabric not being very inspiring. I was looking for something to make the quilting show clearly as a virtual quilt rather than a real quilt.
