Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Quilting Julianne’s Star 7, 8
In the first design I would do more straight line quilting in the background areas, similar to the outside edges, but in a thread matching the background. The second design needs no fillers! Love it!

Quilting Julianne’s Star 4, 5
Love it … but wondering if I would quilt it with contrast thread, or match the background colour, or perhaps a mix of the two. Love the second one too!
Julianne’s Star 3, 4
One block design, the one in the centre, modified many times. The quilting design is the same as the pieced block, simply following the unused seam lines.
Quilting Julianne’s Star 4
I like it! I particularly like the way the centre stars look to be in deep dark space. In a real quilt, that area would be quilted with a thread to match the background … in contrast to the contrast … Continue reading

Quilting Julianne’s Star 2, 3
Take one block, add and take away some lines, and use those same lines as both seam lines and quilting lines. This is a great way to create a quilt with coordinating blocks, and saves the headache of finding a … Continue reading

Quilting Julianne’s Star 1, 2
I found a project file which I started in EQ7, but I could not work out what I was thinking about back then. So I played around with it for a while before I went to bed, then woke up … Continue reading
