I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Who said you shouldn’t mix Five Patch and Nine Patch blocks? Basic nine patch blocks alternated with a five patch design and set on point. I found that combination by mistake when I was looking for more complex designs. This … Continue reading
If you like this design and own Electric Quilt 7 … come back in the middle of this next week. I will be celebrating a significant number of Virtual Quilt designs which I will have shared, and if I am … Continue reading
I feel as though I should get back to work … if you can call working with virtual quilts work! With this series I am working through combinations of two 9 patch blocks. The blocks are ones I have found … Continue reading
Probably my favourite series so I am including it in the lead up to Christmas because the colours fit well. That’s my excuse anyway! Perhaps I would replace the dusky pinks with a clearer red. Love this last one!
I had forgotten about this project file using blocks from the Electric Quilt library with a few modifications. I have never been good at following what everyone else does, and EQ makes it so easy to twist and turn bits … Continue reading
This wasn’t the plan when I started looking for the virtual quilt for today, but I started playing with designs in the project file and wanted a corner block to join the ribbon like ‘border’. I had to show it … Continue reading
Waving the red and white flag quilts during the Aussie Rules final series. The change in this one is all around the centre, but watch the progression of colouring in the blocks with what appears to be a Nine … Continue reading
I like it. There are not a lot of seven patch blocks around, but it is a great grid to design on. If you have EQ or a piece of paper, divide a square into 7×7 squares, then add and … Continue reading
One block is the same in both designs, the other is slightly different. I like the first one, but the block in the second is probably more versatile.
