Vivienne’s Star Quilt 13, 14

Pretty colours which are more often seen in floral designs. I like them both … no favourite today.

Vivienne’s Star Quilt 11, 12

One block design, with a few, or many, pieces omitted here and there, with the quilting lines showing where the seam lines should be, and where some of them still are despite joining two pieces of the same fabric so … Continue reading

Vivienne’s Star Quilt 9, 10

Intricate blocks, but all straight seam piecing, and using the background fabric for some of the pieces to create the border. The first design is really a pieced medallion … a central block with three borders. I love the second … Continue reading

Vivienne’s Star Quilt 7, 8

One block design, but using the background fabric to hide some pieces of the full design. I am not a fan of quilting in the ditch, but it would work for me in this sort of design. I like the … Continue reading

Vivienne’s Star Quilt 3, 4

Interesting, and I like the colours. All the blocks are variations of just one block, and the quilting lines are also based on that one block. More blocks, more interesting.

Julianne’s Star 1, 2

The block is a variation of Jane’s Star, and Like Jane’s, this one uses the seam lines of the base block as the quilting design, even when the seams are not there. My favourite is the second one.

Quilting Jane’s Starr 5

On the whole modern quilts don’t appeal to me a lot, but this design is almost modern, and I like it!
