Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Log Cabin Quilting 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
It always amazes me just how some rather common block designs can be twisted and turned to create some very interesting quilt designs. The first design uses Courthouse Steps. Just four blocks recoloured makes a more interesting overall design. Change … Continue reading
Black and Gold Logs and Lillies 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and a Challenge
I see this series as the back view of Log Cabin quilt … but I wonder what colours would be on the front. If you look closely the blocks are not the regular Log Cabin blocks, but Curved Log Cabin, … Continue reading
Black and Gold Logs and Lillies 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
These designs don’t really include the pieced blocks … just the quilting. So, are they wholecloth designs, or the back of a Log Cabin quilt. I think they would work as either, though some would work better as one or … Continue reading
Log Cabin Quilting 31, 32, 33, 34, 35
Not very inspiring colours, but interesting designs, including quilting motifs. This is another project file about to be retired … I still have some blocks to sort in my Block Library, then I will start using the sorted blocks to … Continue reading
Black and Gold Logs and Lillies 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Today’s designs are either wholecloth Log Cabin or the back of pieced Log Cabin quilts. More accurately the second and third are Log Cabin designs, the first and the last two are Courthouse Steps. I have been sitting at a … Continue reading
Log Cabin Quilting 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
Not very inspiring colours, but I have found them useful to play with design for both piecing and quilting layers. Love the one above! Another one I love … simple but effective. Interesting edges! This could be a draft plan … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilted 51, 52, 53, 54, 55
Log Cabin blocks can create some wonderful designs in well coordinated fabrics, and the seam lines make a useful guide to quilting … but boring without a bit of contrast somewhere. I like the contrast of the straight seam lines … Continue reading
Log Cabin Quilting 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
I like the idea of filling some of the lighter areas of Log Cabin quilts with some curved lines, but keeping most of the quilting on the straight and narrow, following the block design. I like both of the above. … Continue reading
Log Cabin Quilting 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
Colours … not inspiring me at all … but … I love this design. The contrast is fine, and it shows off the quilting. Like the first one … I love this one too. Love it! Could be more quilting … Continue reading
Black and Gold Logs and Lillies 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
There’s an idea! Don’t piece a Log Cabin quilt … just quilt it! Something to think about though … what colours would you use on the quilt top if you did piece it? Something to consider is doubling up Log … Continue reading
