Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Cornerstones 66, 67, 68, 69, 70
Every design in this series use 64 identical blocks known as Chimneys and cornerstones, or simply Cornerstones. That means you can make the blocks while thinking about how you will arrange them in the final design. I would advise that … Continue reading
Cornerstone + Blues 101, 102, 103, 104, 105
Part of my brain wants to brighten up this project file, but a different part of my brain is seeing antique quilts when I open the file up. I like antiques, so it will stay like it is! It is … Continue reading
Cornerstones 51, 52, 53, 54, 55
Sometimes I ignore some of the more basic project files for months at a time, then when I open them up I see designs which I still love. This file was opened last when I set up a new computer … Continue reading
Cornerstones 56, 57, 58, 59, 60
This series uses just the basic Chimneys and Cornerstones variation of Log Cabin blocks … works for me! I like the one above … … but like it more with just a small change! Interesting … … but the last … Continue reading
Cornerstones 41, 42, 43, 44, 45
Trying a new set of colours … I like them, but … … but I should have left myself enough time to have another coffee before I had to post this. Now the coffee has kicked in I can see … Continue reading
Cornerstone + Blues 96, 97, 98, 99, 100
Welcome to the first of 52 five minute Log Cabin Retreats for 2018. I started Mid Week Log Cabin Retreats to share a multitude of surplus Log Cabin Quilt designs, by sharing two a day, which grew to four, and … Continue reading
Cornerstone + Blues 91, 92, 93, 94, 95
I wonder why winter saves some of the coldest bits until last? This series of designs always makes me think of warm quilts of the real kind, not just the virtual designs I share every day. Mind you, it would … Continue reading
Cornerstone + Blues 86, 87, 88, 89 90
Yes, it is the middle of the week again. Sometimes I get the feeling the middle gets here so quickly that we must be missing some of the other days of the week! Love the first two … so completely different … Continue reading
Cornerstones + Extras 76, 77, 78, 79, 80
If five friends got together to make quilts using the Cornerstone Log Cabin block they could all make some little tweaks to make their own original design. If they all used the same fabrics it would be quite an exercise … Continue reading
Curved Cornerstones 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17
I love designing new blocks. Then I have to work out if they work in quilt designs. The five designs I have added today are from the days when I was still very much testing the Curved Cornerstone blocks. I … Continue reading
