Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Cabin Fever Quilted 61, 62, 63, 64, 65
I think I would like the backs of these designs as much, if not more, than the front. Another option would be to make all the blocks in very pale washed out colours, not just the light areas. I love … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilted 51, 52, 53, 54, 55
Wednesday already, so here are some Log Cabin designs to study during a coffee break. I think I would like most of the quilting designs on these quilts as whole cloth designs … or a real quilt could be used … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilting 41, 42, 43, 44, 45
The first two designs this week are exactly the same … … except for the quilting. I like the middle of the first, but like the way the quilting emphasizes the diagonal border effect. I like the centre of the … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilting 36, 37, 38, 39, 40
Interesting! SAme blocks, different quilting. I like it more than the first one. Above is a monotone Log Cabin quilt, or the side which most quilters just have to have a look at, no matter how great the front of … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilted 31, 32, 33, 34, 35
Middle if the week, time for a short coffee break looking at some Log Cabin quilt designs … and this week they are virtually quilted. I prefer to quilt enough to hold the layers together, but not too much. Too … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilting 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
Another mid week Log Cabin Retreat … already. For the one above you could make the blocks from all light fabrics … or just add a plain back to a more conventional Log Cabin quilt. The possibilities are endless! The … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilting 21, 22, 23, 24, 25
The only reason to make a Log Cabin quilt using all light coloured fabric would be to show off the quilting design. Of course, you can also show off the quilting design if you just use creative quilting on the … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilting 16, 17, 18, 19, 20
I rather like the idea of making a heap of rather bland Log Cabin blocks. Just add quilting in a strong contrast thread and it would make a reasonable impression! Mind you, adding some blocks with strong contrast in the … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilted 11, 12, 13, 14, 15
Another week has streaked past … with little gardening and no real quilting done! Did at least manage some virtual quilting, and some sewing. I have made a fitted cover for the back of a new recliner … four times … Continue reading
Cabin Fever Quilted 7, 8, 9, 10
You may have guessed if you come here often that I like playing with Log Cabin designs. Until the last twelve months I wasn’t particularly interested in quilting designs for those designs. Like asking the question about the one above … Continue reading
