I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

A block design made up of squares and rectangles can be used as layouts for whole quilts, and I had fun designing a whole heap of blocks especially for this purpose. This project file is all basic pieced blocks used … Continue reading

Not sure that I got the background colour change right, but I like the design. Deleted the contrast background in some places, but not all in teh second design. Must do better tomorrow!
Love the idea of creating a design by using different background fabrics, and designs like the ones here show why! I like the first one best, but I have learned something from the second one … use finest, dotted line … Continue reading
Interesting effect of using low contrast background behind applique designs, made more interesting in a custom design arrangement of blocks. I love the second one!
The designs today are each based on two different pieced block designs made up of squares and rectangles. I like the second one best … though after another coffee I may change my mind.
This project file is an experiment with non-conventional layouts, or perhaps testing boundaries within the border of a quilt. I am not wrapped with my contrast choice, but very interested in the layouts. Let me be honest, I am always … Continue reading
The design above uses one of the features of Electric Quilt, where a block using only squares and rectangles can be used as a quilt layout. In this case this is how you could make a ‘wholecloth’ quilt from two … Continue reading
