Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

Very interesting, but very busy. However, if this was turned into a real quilt I would use a quilting thread the same colour as the background to add texture, rather than teh lines seen in the illustration, so it wouldn’t … Continue reading

Love the different colour backgrounds. They add a whole new dimension to the designs. From now until Christmas day you will get a double dose of virtual quilt designs. Hope you enjoy seeing them, and have a wonderful real life … Continue reading

All I have done to create this series of quilts was to change some simple leaf shapes to holly shapes, and added Christmas colours. Every quilt design with a leaf could be changed the same way! Maybe the change could … Continue reading
A Spoonful of Christmas OP 4, 5, 6
Lovely! Nive, but a bit busy for my taste. Adding sashing might help. Busy, but I like it anyway. In a real quilt I would use a softer thread colour for the quilting which would take away a lot of … Continue reading
A Spoonful of Christmas OP 3, 4
Rather elaborate for a quilt intended for use for a short time each year! I love it. Love the one above too!
A Spoonful of Christmas OP 1, 2
I love light green backgrounds at the moment, though I suspect that I would use an almost white on white print in a real quilts. Perhaps it is that the green looks less stark on screen. Maybe I would use … Continue reading
A Spoonful of Christmas 13, 14
This is a spin off from one of my all time favourite series of blocks. I simply changed my fabric selection, and added some holly leaves.
A Spoonful of Christmas 8,9, 10
As much as I like toys for Christmas, I thought I would share something for the grownups too! I started playing with Lovin’ Spoonful before last Christmas, but when i opened the project file this year I got to playing … Continue reading

A Spoonful of Christmas 3 and 4
More from that Lovin’ Spoonful. Is it any wonder I inspect all cutlery very carefully now … just in case it might inspire quilt designs.
