Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

One of the steps in designing what became a real quilt. The title happened because I didn’t know what those pretty bulb like things were called, and by the time I found out the idea of a sophisticated onion originating … Continue reading

French Onion Practice 4 and 5
Interesting, though a bit blank in the middle! Room for something much more interesting. Of course, a lot of other designs could fit into that centre circle!
French Onion Practice 3 and 4
Not a bad design. Lots of drafting errors! Much better regarding the drafting inaccuracies, and another reasonable design. I am so glad my Electric Quilt drawing skills have improved a bit over the years! But then, Electric Quilt has … Continue reading
French Onion Practice 2
When I started quilting I used pencils and paper to design quilts … the drawings looked nothing like the picture I had in my mind, so sharing them with anybody else was pretty much useless. Then I bought Electric Quilt. … Continue reading
French Onion Practice 2
A design I put together on the way to making a real quilt. The design for the real quilt became a pattern, initially available as a paper pattern, now in PDF form.
