Virtual Quilts?
I am a quilter who uses a computer program to design way more quilts than I could ever make in several lifetimes.
The quilts featured on this site have never been made. No stash has been harmed in the process.
This site is a chance to show the un-used and unseen designs to others, and occasionally share designs by making some EQ8 project files available by email on request.
Please note that my only association with the Electric Quilt Company is as a very satisfied customer.
I prefer to be in a tag free zone and award free area. I am just happy to know you came for a look.

70s Log Cabin 46, 47, 48, 49, 50
This was named for the style of fabrics used … the ones I used in dressmaking BQ … Before Quilting. I hope I never have to use those fabrics for clothing again, but would love to have some scraps to … Continue reading
70s Log Cabin 41, 42, 43, 44 and 45
I inherited a heap of fabrics from the seventies … well, Mum inherited them but wanted me to take them off her hands. The fabrics were from the seventies and had small floral prints on them. Would have been OK … Continue reading
70s Log Cabin 39 and 40
Yesterday I introduced a new Log Cabin series, today I bring back my fist Log Cabin series. Like this second design.
70s Log Cabin 39 and 40
Two more designs made with 64 traditional Log Cabin blocks. Particularly like the outer edge of the first one. This one has twenty blocks made with all light fabrics. Look back at some more of this series.
70s Log Cabin 37 and 38
Interesting. (Imagine a tone of voice which really means it does have some merit but I am not too sure what it is!) I know! The two overlapping squares. As much as I love hand quilting, if this was a … Continue reading
70s Log Cabin 35 and 36
The fabrics I used in this series reminded me of the 70s. I suspect I could buy fabrics now to make a quilt pretty much like this No, not going there … I lived through the seventies once, don’t want … Continue reading
70s Log Cabin 31 and 32
Usually Log Cabin blocks are made with graded fabrics, often scraps, but I love the crisp look of the first one, with just one very light fabric used for the light half of the block. This one looks dirty by … Continue reading
70s Log Cabin 27 and 28
Not bad. Much more interesting. While you enjoy a virtual Log Cabin Quilters retreat I am trying to gather strength after an extended real weekend retreat for another one this coming weekend. It’s a hard life, but somebody has to … Continue reading
70s Log Cabin 25 and 26
It is so long since I looked at this project file I had to remind myself that the 70s bit of the series title refers to the fabrics rather than the design … they remind me of the fabrics I … Continue reading
70s Log Cabin 23 and 24
I have been digging around in the unused files to bring you the first installment in this weeks Mid Week Retreat, to show a couple of designs from the 70s. Well, not really from the 70s, but I used fabric … Continue reading
