TNT Logs + 96, 97, 98, 99, 100

Middle of the week again … they are coming around at record speed, or it may be that I am getting slower!

For the initiated, TNT means Thick and Thin, which is how the curves are formed in these designs with no curved seams to sew. I like the one above, but like it more with just a slight change shown below.

I have reached design 100 in this project file, and there are over 400 as yet unseen designs in waiting, and they all use assorted combinations of just six blocks, or more correctly six colourways of one block. If you have time to play with Electric Quilt, see if you can find the block in the Electric Quilt Library, or simply draw the basic block, then play with the colouring.

The one above is the same as the second design, with the colours reversed.

That is all for this week’s mid week Log Cabin retreat … more next week as usual.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

Wow, I am amazed at how different the design looks with the colors reversed though I shouldn’t be. I know that color and value have a great effect on how quilts are perceived. I like TNT log cabins because of the curved feeling that is achieved.
