The white space around the centre block would need some rather creative quilting!

Most of the red and white series of projects were started in 2012, and to be perfectly honest, they need a lot of work to sort them out. All of them use the same twelve Nine Patch blocks, and I might have to start a new project instead, with a different set of blocks to round out the week of red and white designs, and cancel all of the current projects.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

I really like the borders on these, simple but very effective. I wonder what it would look like with the diamond shape nine-patches a different color than the boxy nine-patches?

    • Cindy,

I have often wondered what they would look like with more colours, or different colours, and managed to stick with the original plan of just two fabrics, one red, one white. Perhaps one day I will save teh project files under new names and start playing!
