Sth Aussie to Tassie Sampler + 1, 2

Over the last twelve months I have been having lots of fun drawing pieced blocks, then adding or removing lines so I have a variety of similar blocks to use in designing quilts.

Yesterday I shared two designs from one of a growing collection of blocks … and today I am sharing two of another. There are many more to come, and a lot of applique designs too.

Next step is to add some quilting lines! This project file is the first one of several in a series based on a series of blocks I have named Border Crossings, from my home state of South Australia, to each of the states we share a border with, which is all of them apart from the Australian Capital Territory. This first one to Tasmania is across water to the only island state of Australia.

Here is the sampler of related blocks so far, but there will be additions to this in the future.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.
