Black and Gold Logs and Lillies 16, 17, 18, 19, 20

These designs don’t really include the pieced blocks … just the quilting.

So, are they wholecloth designs, or the back of a Log Cabin quilt.

I think they would work as either, though some would work better as one or the other.

I have spent quite a lot of time trying to work out the stitchin sequence for the Log Cabin part of these designs, and have reached the conclusion that I would do them by hand unless there was a machine which could start and stop without the need to tie off or hiding all those loose ends. It is much easier to start and stop hand quilting threads as you go.

There are now a good variety of block designs in the project file … next time I share designs from the file I will hav etwisted and turned the blocks rather than making them form regimental lines.

More Log Cabin designs mid week next week.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.
