Thick n Thin Logs 56, 57, 58, 59, 60

In this project file I used one block, and two variations of colour placement in that block. In each design I have used just one of the colour variations, which means that the quilt designs are positive and negative versions of the same layout. Log Cabin quilts can vary quite a lot when the colours are reversed, but with the Curved Log Cabin blocks, also known as Thick and Thin Log Cabin, the variation creates some stark changes in the results.

From now on I must remember to share these designs in equal numbers … but today you see an odd one above, but the rest come in pairs.

Makes a big difference, doesn’t it?

I cannot decide if I like the positive or the negative version of the last design … like them both. I would have to make both, and use one for the backing!

More Log Cabin designs mid week, next week!

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

I like them all. Interesting how they turn out, just by reversing the colours.
