EQ OP Playtime

After preparing for yesterday’s post I browsed through the virtual quilt designs in the EQ OP project file, and came across the design above, and thought the border looked a bit crowded so started playing.

Not quite social distancing as we are all encouraged to do at the moment, but I like the more spaced out version.

Then I wondered what it would be like used as sashing!

Interesting! Not too sure what blocks you would put inside a sashing which is half as wide as the blocks though.

Maybe a signature quilt … present the quilt at a special party, provide some good quality permanent markers and collect signatures.

I modified the corners of the border design and the version above has the original corner on the left, the new sashing square on the right. The border design is Intertwined Border and is from the Electric Quilt block library.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

I definitely prefer the spaced border; it isn’t quite as overwhelming. And I really like where you are going with using the border as sashing! 🙂
