Applique Logs 73, 74, 75, 76

Time for a short break to celebrate the middle of the week.

I would like the one above even without the applique.

Most of the appliques in this series are placed on individual blocks, but sometimes I have let the design expand over several blocks by setting them on Layer 2.

Changing the scale of parts of a design is a great way to add interest to designs.

More Log Cabin designs next week tomorrow … I got over enthusiastic and saved another four designs after being distracted by a visitor and before I had started to schedule this post!

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

These are very interesting Log Cabin designs Judy, which give great opportunity for adding quite different applique. I really like them!

I love the second one. The applique can be so individualized in these log cabin designs. I love that simple applique could be done by beginners and yet more complicated designs could be used as well depending on each persons preferences and/or skill level.
