Log Cabin Leaf Central 51, 52, 53, 54, 55

It is now autumn down under, which means a large proportion of the land is brown after a long, hot summer, and in a small part of the country imported trees from the upper half of earth are showing their autumn colours, even of it is springtime in their home country.

I love the background created in these designs by the Log Cabin frames around the leaves.

The missing leaves in the design above would have to be quilted … with leaf shapes of course.

This project file got lost in the move from one computer to the other, and now that I have found it again I have found that I love the leaves in all of the designs, but the shapes created in the background are drawing my attention away from the leaves.

That is all for this week’s mid week retreat, but there will be more Log Cabin designs next week.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

I love the frames formed by the logs in these blocks. The fourth one has a dimensional depth to it as well with the on point light sections looking as if they are floating above the background.
