Logs at Lochiel 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

New project file, starting with two versions of my favourite Log Cabin design, the first starting with a light centre, …

… the second with the blocks turned around 180 degrees to make a dark centre.

I have added a collection of Log Cabin variations to the project file, and a variety of colour placements within each of those blocks … almost too many to be able to make up my mind which one to use each time I want to make a change.

That means I will have to make a lot of changes just to see what happens.

However, the first change I made was just turning eight blocks around.

Then I started adding some of the colour variations of the basic Log Cabin block

Then added another colour variation. I have over 90 variations of colour placement in the Block Sketchbook in this project, so there are lots of possible designs waiting to be found.

More Log Cabin designs, mid week, next week, in the next virtual, and short, Log Cabin mid week retreat.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

Love the colour selection. Interesting how they turn out, just by reversing some blocks. That could be said of my quilts I guess.
