Sometimes I ignore some of the more basic project files for months at a time, then when I open them up I see designs which I still love. This file was opened last when I set up a new computer some time ago.

I probably have enough Log Cabin quilt designs using many of the variations of the basic block to keep sharing them for years to come, but perhaps I need some sort of roster so that some files don’t sit around for too long without a breath of fresh air.

Love the one above!

In contrast to the small pieces required for most patchwork quilts I am currently using some old curtains to turn our rotary clothes line into a gazebo, then I have a pile of dressmaking projects to complete, then maybe some patchwork!

Or perhaps just do a little hand quilting during a coffee break, instead of looking at a collection of Log Cabin designs during a short mid week retreat from the real world!
No, I think I enjoy looking at the designs as I bring them out of hiding as much as some of you out there enjoy seeing them for the first time.
My favourite this week is the last one, but I like all of them.
More Log Cabin designs mid week, next week, so you can have a short break dreaming of making a real Log Cabin quilt!
