Cornerstones 46, 47, 48, 49, 50

I decided that I wanted to give this series a new colour scheme …

I have tried several, and haven’t found one which I love yet, but decided to share some of those I am trying to modify.

I find that I either find some fabrics very quickly, or have to keep swapping and changing for ages to get the right mix.

Oh, well, there is always more fabrics to try, but this is one part of being a virtual quilter which is not near as much fun as really going shopping, and pulling rolls from every part of the shop and laying them on the counter, then swapping all but two for something still on the shelf … and then repeat the exercise.

Perhaps I need another Log Cabin retreat next week!

As always .. more Log Cabin designs to distract you from the rest of the world for a few minutes!

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

These designs are Amazing! Who knew you could combine cornerstones with log cabins and get such gorgeous quilts. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.

    • Sheril,

Log Cabin blocks can be twisted and turned every which way, whichever variation of the block you use … then you just have to find some colours! Chimneys and Cornerstones can be made with thick and thin strips too, for some very interesting blocks, and even more interesting quilts.
