PJ 1134 In a Spin 10

Spent some time looking through Patchwork Jigsaws late yesterday … and tried to pick one to share. Settled on his one because I like the border, which is just a recolouring of the blocks making up the rest of the design.

I worked out a number system to keep track of the blocks … the ones with 16 squares made up of two pieces. I am now thinking that the more complex, and interesting, designs would be easier using just one of the 16 pieces, so that each piece can be twisted and turned individually, and then recoloured individually too.

That is how I designed a quilt with pencil and paper many moons ago, before I bought Electric Quilt 5, and I have done a couple of smallish quilts in EQ, but not for a long time.

About Virtual Quilter

I am a quilter who designs many more quilts than I will ever make, and I am sharing one quilt design every day in Virtual Quilter. I also share my completed projects in Stuff-Ups, and Christmas decorations in Christmas Everyday of the Year.

Back to Drunkards Path again. it is timeless!

    • Nola,

It has been quite some time since I have even opened one of the many Patchwork Jigsaw project files in EQ, though I have been looking at a Patchwork Jigsaw quilt top trying to work out if I need to quilt it, or give it to somebody who will.
